Matt Ryan

BSc Physio (Hons), MCSP, HCPC

Matt qualified as a Physiotherapist from St George’s University of London, having previously studied a BSc in Sport & Exercise Science at the University of Portsmouth. Combining the two disciplines Matt has developed keys skills in movement analysis, manual therapy and exercise prescription in order to improve pain and dysfunction.

Since graduating, Matt has specialised in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic healthcare within the NHS. With a passion for sport, Matt’s skills progressed further with his work in football. He became Lead Academy Physiotherapist at League One AFC Wimbledon during the 2016/17 season and followed that up working with the Woking FC first team during the 2018/19 promotion season to the National League. Matt has subsequently worked in private practise since 2018, aiming to deliver high quality care to people of all ages and abilities. He enhanced his professional development further by completing the Integrated Systems Model (ISM), a clinical framework developed by world-renowned Physiotherapist Diane Lee. The ISM uses specific biomechanical movement analysis in order to diagnose the root cause of injury, with the goal of treatment to facilitate improved function, better movement patterns, and ultimately reduce pain.

In his spare time Matt can regularly be found cycling around London, Richmond Park or the Surrey Hills looking for the next best place to grab a coffee!
