Phil’s Strength & Conditioning Module.
Phil completed the strength and conditioning module as an adjunct to his post graduate studies in Advanced Physiotherapy. This allowed him study time to focus on planning and implementing strength training programmes for athletes.
Combining theory with practice this course refreshed Phil’s Sports Science knowledge relating to current physiological concepts in strength training. He also gained knowledge in planning training programmes for specific sports through needs analysis and periodisation planning.
The practical elements of the course involved screening assessments prior to undertaking strength programmes to check for potential problems, and identifying areas to work on, as well as a large emphasis on correct lifting techniques.
