Quality Assured Practitioners

Antonia’s Accreditation from Physio First.

Antonia has gained quality assured practitioner, QAP, status for a further year from Physio First. A Physio First QAP is a private physiotherapist who has demonstrated the quality of their treatment and patient outcomes.

In order to gain this status Antonia has participated in a national audit called the Physio First Data for Impact study. This project has been commissioned by Physio First, the Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice, to enable private practitioners to fully understand and quantify the nature, frequency and outcomes of treatments provided. The data is collected by the University of Brighton who have the objective means of measuring and defining quality using a validated, standardised data collection research tool that has received national and international acclaim. Once collected, it is all independently analysed before a report on Physio First’s national data bank is published.

As of January 2019, The Wimbledon Physiotherapy and Sports Injuries Clinic is hopefully going to be a Physio First quality assured clinic (QAC). This is achieved with all the physiotherapy staff submitting sufficient patient outcomes data using the Data for Impact tool and achieving quality standards across the whole clinic. It will enable us to benchmark the clinic’s services nationally and promote our MSK practice as a quality assured clinic.
