Steven Perry

Steven completed a Sports Science degree in South Africa in 1994 and then trained as a Physiotherapist at Brunel University, London, graduating in 2005. He completed his junior physiotherapy training at Imperial College NHS trust moving between Hammersmith and Charing Cross Hospital within all the varying specialties of physiotherapy. After working as a senior physiotherapist at Charing Cross he spent a year volunteering in South Africa before returning to the UK to join Wimbledon Physiotherapy Clinic at the beginning of 2010.

 

During his time at Charing Cross, Steve was involved in a part time role with various sports, notably rugby and the London marathon. He also has an extensive swimming background and has worked in Aquatic therapy since 2002, completing his post graduate Aquatic Physiotherapy qualification in 2006. Steve is the clinical specialist at AquaPhysio, a specialist aquatic physiotherapy clinic in Morden and has undergone specialist aquatic physiotherapy training in Badragaz, Switzerland.

 

Steve regularly attends CPD events and keeps himself updated with the latest developments within the profession. He has very hands on patient focused approach to treatment, ensuring a phased return to sport and a management program to prevent reoccurrence. Treatment techniques include joint mobilisations/manipulations, soft tissue massage, electrotherapy, muscle retraining and personalised home exercise programs. He treats all neuromuscular conditions with special interest in sports injuries.
