Elizabeth Austin

 

Elizabeth Austin qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2003 with a degree from the University of Southampton. From there she worked as a musculoskeletal Physiotherapist at Farnham Hospital, before moving to London in 2004.

 

She worked in St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington for 4 and a half years gaining experience in a wide range of out-patient and orthopaedic specialities at senior level.

 

In August 2008 she embarked on a full time Masters in Advance Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Kings College London, which she has just completed. She is an associate member of the MACP. During this time she also worked part time at a private clinic in Surrey. Through studying for her MSc she has developed further interest and expertise in the management of chronic pain.

 

Elizabeth has worked as a Physiotherapist for a couple of rugby teams over the last 4 years gaining experience in sports specific, high level rehabilitation. She has a special interest in shoulders and the foot and ankle. She employs a combination of manual therapy, soft tissue mobilisation and exercise therapy, with emphasis on long-term management, maintenance and education.
