Caroline Curtis
BSc (hons), MCSP
Caroline Curtis qualified in June 1993 with a BSC Hons in Physiotherapy. She commenced working at St Georges NHS Trust from 1993 and currently works part-time as a Clinical Specialist in the Physiotherapy Department.
Caroline also works as an Extended Scope Practitioner (ESP) in the Orthopaedic Department. Her ESP role involves working as an autonomous practitioner assessing GP referrals with musculoskeletal conditions, ordering investigations and making a diagnosis.
Since qualifying Caroline has worked in the private sector. She has worked for various rugby teams including Rosslyn Park. Her other sports physio experience includes working with the British speed skaters and traveling with them to Hungary for the World Championship, also covering other sporting events including the London Marathon on several occasions.
Caroline uses both manual therapy (including manipulation) and soft tissue work in her treatments, balanced with assessing muscle imbalance and providing exercise programs when appropriate to prevent reoccurrence. Caroline has been practising acupuncture for nine years which she uses as an adjunct for treating both acute and chronic conditions.
